Which Class at Breathe Hot Yoga Should You Choose?

Looking at a timetable for the first time can feel like a lot to take in. Some classes are heated, some are unheated. Some focus on Yoga, others on Strength, Pilates or Barre. There are also slower sessions designed for rest and recovery.
A helpful place to start is thinking about how you’d like to move or feel, rather than focusing on class names.
I’d like to try a Hot class
Our Hot classes take place in our infrared heated studio and include Yoga, Pilates, Strength and Barre.
Hot Yoga
Hot Yoga is a dynamic, Vinyasa-based Yoga class practised in a heated room. It links breath with movement through flowing sequences of postures that build strength, mobility and balance.
The class has a structured format, but sequencing will vary between teachers and sessions, allowing for different focuses while maintaining a consistent Vinyasa-style approach.
This class may suit you if you want to:
Build strength and flexibility
Improve mobility and balance
Practice a dynamic Yoga class in a heated environment
Develop confidence in a structured but varied class format
Hot Yoga is often the first class people try at the studio. It offers a physically engaging practice in the heat.
I’d like a dynamic class without heat
We also offer unheated Yoga classes for those who prefer to practice without added temperature.
Unheated Rocket Yoga
Rocket Yoga is an energetic, playful style of Yoga inspired by traditional Ashtanga sequencing. It includes opportunities to explore arm balances, inversions and more challenging postures, while still offering options for different levels.
This class may suit you if you want to:
Build strength and confidence in your Yoga practice
Explore more challenging postures
Develop arm balances and inversions
Enjoy a dynamic unheated Yoga class
Unheated Vinyasa Flow
Vinyasa Flow links breath and movement in a steady, flowing sequence. It is taught at room temperature, allowing you to focus on movement, alignment and breath without heat.
This class may suit you if you want to:
Practice a flowing Yoga style without heat
Build strength and mobility
Enjoy a steady, accessible dynamic class
Move in a cooler environment
Take a break from Hot classes over the summer
I’d like to build Strength
Our Strength, Pilates and Barre classes offer different approaches to conditioning the body alongside Yoga.
Hot Strength
Hot Strength is a full-body conditioning class using light hand weights and controlled, high-repetition movements.
This class may suit you if you want to:
Build functional Strength
Improve muscle tone
Develop confidence with resistance training
Work through structured Strength-based movement
Hot Pilates
Hot Pilates focuses on core Strength, posture and muscular endurance, using controlled, precise movements.
This class may suit you if you want to:
Strengthen your core
Improve posture and alignment
Build endurance through low-impact training
Complement your Yoga practice with conditioning work
Hot Barre
Hot Barre is inspired by ballet-based training and uses small, controlled movements to build Strength, particularly in the legs, glutes and core.
This class may suit you if you want to:
Improve lower-body Strength
Develop balance and stability
Build muscular endurance
I’d like to slow down and reset
Alongside our movement-based classes, we offer restorative sessions designed to support recovery and relaxation.
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a slower practice where postures are held for longer periods, allowing the body time to release tension and settle.
This class may suit you if you want to:
Slow the pace of your week
Improve flexibility over time
Release tension in the body
Balance more active training
Warm Sound Baths
Warm Sound Baths are a restorative experience where you lie back in warmth and listen to calming soundscapes created by crystal singing bowls and other instruments.
This session may suit you if you want to:
Switch off fully
Experience deep relaxation
Step away from daily stimulation
Support rest and recovery
Can I mix different classes?
Yes. Most of our members combine different styles across the week.
A common approach might include Hot Yoga during the week, Hot Strength or Hot Pilates on another day, and a Warm Sound Bath or Yin Yoga session when recovery is needed.
There is no need to have a fixed structure. Most people find their routine changes over time depending on energy levels, goals and schedule.
Still deciding?
The best starting point is usually the class that matches how you feel right now.
If you are unsure, choose the one that feels most aligned with your energy or goals that day. Most people find their confidence builds quickly once they’ve attended their first class, and it becomes easier to explore different styles over time.
