Building Stronger Yogis 10hr CPD - Sat 14th Nov - 10am - 6pm
(Includes 2hrs online content)
For years, yoga in the West has often been portrayed as primarily a flexibility practice, with a sprinkle of spirituality for good measure. But is yoga really about pushing to extremes? Are we striving for extreme flexibility and passive range of motion? And if we are—let’s ask the tough question—is that actually serving our bodies in the long run?
Maybe it’s time to reframe yoga as a practice of balance. Physically speaking, sure, many people do need to work on improving their flexibility to create harmony in their bodies. But just as often, yogis need to develop more strength and stability to support their long-term health and well-being.
In this workshop, Adam will fuse his yoga teaching and mobility expertise to dive into:
How to incorporate mobility-focused explorations into yoga flows.
How to use strength to go deeper with integrity and get strong at end range
The importance of exploring active range before moving into passive range.
Practical ways to integrate mobility drills into your teaching.
Building effective yoga sequences
Teaching common poses through a new lens
Ultimately, this is about equipping both you and your students with the tools to create balanced, resilient, and injury-free bodies for the long haul. Because yoga isn’t just about getting your leg behind your head, but rather it’s about finding strength, stability, and sustainable practices for life.
A Centred States training - You will get a 10hr CPD certificate on completion of the training + online educational resource. Teachers, trainees and enthusiastic students are welcome.
